Smart Stocks Instructions
Please be sure to make your username your last name followed by a 14 and your password your student ID. This way if you forget what it is I can remind you.
1. After you create your account you will see the dashboard where you will start every time. Click on JOIN GROUP. Search for
Whitaker Econ 14. That is our group name. The password is stock. This sets up a competition where you can see how you rank compared to others in the class.
2. Click on buy/sell stocks to begin. Scroll to the bottom and you will see a button that says Look up Ticker symbol. Click on this. Here you can look up any company by name and see how it is doing. It will also give you the ticker symbol which you will need to make your first purchase.Once you have decided on a stock to buy go back to Buy/sell stocks and make your purchase. Everyone starts with 1,000,000 dollars.
3.After you make your first purchase you can got to My Portfolio to see how much you have left and how much you have spent.
4. Buy more than 1 or 2 shares of each stock. Also, spend your money!!!! This is a game, and the money isn't real! It won't help you to save it.
